THE SIGNIFICANCE OF PERFORMING THE YAGAM OR FIRE RITUAL

In today's post at Sitthan Arul, Agathiyar reveals an amazing happening during a Yagam. Agathiyar instructs the Jeeva Nadi Guru of Chennai that a Yagam be conducted in Sathuragiri under his (Agathiyar) supervision. Agathiyar indicates the day and time and the materials to be placed in the fire pit. Agathiyar also handpicks certain individuals for the task.

Upon successfully conducting the Yagam and returning home Agathiyar mentions in the Jeeva Nadi that Siddha Ramadevar and Sattaimuni accompanied the entourage of 50 people to Sathuragiri on the command of Agathiyar. Agathiyar was himself surprised to find Lord Brahma appear to initiate the Fire ritual with the famous sloga SUKLAM BARATARAM of Lord Vinayagar. Agathiyar says all the 18 Siddhas participated in the Yagam. Another surprise was in store, says Agathiyar, when Lord Vinayagar himself appeared and blessed all those present. Lord Murugan too was present at the Yagam, reveals Agathiyar in the Nadi. The Devas too witnessed the Yagam.

Agathiyar finally reveals that this particular Yagam was started some 3247 years ago by Siddha Kagabujandar.

Saravanan Palanisamy's art accompanied Velayudham Karthikeyan's post. I congratulated Saravanan a moment ago, "Beautiful art and very vibrant colors Saravanan. Great" and he had this to say,

Karthikeyan Sir, had told me the location only ... as Sathuragiri and I already had the thought of drawing Periya Mahalinggam on that drawing .. .to show that they are at Sathuragiri itself ... to my surprise ... when I got a reply from Karthikeyan Sir himself .... he told .... the event actually occurred near Periya Mahalinggam ... as what I had drawn. All Agathiyar leelai!

When Bala Chandran was in India to carry out his atonement, he was blessed to read his Jeeva Nadi revelation of Agathiyar by Tavayogi Thangarasan Adigalaar of Kallar Ashram. Bala put a question to which Agathiyar assured him that all his endeavors and effort in conducting the atonement at the numerous temple will be successful and Agathiyar added that he was sending Siddha Pulastya to accompany Bala!

In his earlier and maiden visit, Bala was to leave for Kalyana Theertam with Surendaran Selvaratnam, both from Malaysia. They seeked Tavayogi's blessing before leaving. Tavayogi assured them that all shall be well, moved away only to stop, turn back to them and mention that Siddha Bhogar will be with them!

When Bala was called up the stage during the Agathiyar Jayanthi and Guru Puja celebrations last year, Tavayogi showed Bala's drawing of Agathiyar and Thava Murugar to all those assembled on the Yagam grounds and praised Bala. Later when Bala went for a Nadi reading back in Malaysia, Agathiyar surprised him by mentioning this event and added that he had arranged for it!

In a later Nadi reading, Agathiyar mentions another drawing of Bala, this time that of Ramalinga Adigal and says that both Korakar and Konganar were amused and captivated by that drawing!

Its mind boggling, the workings of the Siddhas!

When I was traveling with Tavayogi to temples, caves, shrines, samadhis, and ashrams back in 2005, Tavayogi used to indicate to me the presence of the Siddhas too. I would just look up into the sky and around me - blank. I did not have the capacity nor ability to see them.

A once in a life time affair - a disciple traveling the path of the Guru, lead by the Guru himself. I shall forever cherish these memories
When Jnana Jyothi Amma was in Malaysia last October she too mentioned this. I am still waiting for the day when I too can see them just as the saints saw them.

When Tavayogi conducted the Sarva Dosa Nivaarana Maha Yagam in conjunction with Agathiyar's Jayanthi and Guru Puja last year, many devotees called up Mataji to say that they had seen Siddhas on the grounds where the Yagam was held and in the very sacrificial fire too. Some posted these photos too.
